I know today is a very green holiday....
but it is also the birthday of my favorite designers and idols:
In Honor of his majesties birthday, I am dedicating todays blog post to him.
Lee Alexander McQueen (March 17, 1969 - February 11, 2010)
ABOUT:
was offered an apprenticeship at the traditional
Savile Row tailors Anderson and Shepard
and then at neighboring Gieves and Hawkes
both masters in the technical construction of clothing.
He then became a theatrical costumier at Angels and Bermans
where he mastered 6 methods of pattern cutting from the melodramatic 16th century
to the razor sharp tailoring which his one of his signatures.
In Under 10 years he became one of the most respected fashion designers in the world.
his unique obsession with death & the afterlife is one
of the strongest influences in his designs.
A Dark, Rebellious Designer known for emotionally raw powered designs.
